Welcome to Mel's Cornish Adventure!

On Friday 17th May the adventure begins! Mel and all her faves are hitting the beach, the bars to celebrate our Miss becoming Mrs. So get your sunnies at the ready, your dancing shoes packed and let's get our Cornish vibes on.

The Plans

Friday Fun

After travelling down, a nice chilled few hours with a picnic on the beach and then head to our resort to get ready for Ibiza style fun at the lodge, think hot tubs, cocktails and obligatory kitchen disco with our very own butler

Scenic Saturday & Newquay Nights

Shake off the hangover with some active action cycling the Camel Trail and a mooch around Padstow. Then get ready to hit Newquay for dinner, drinks and some serious slut drops in Sailors!

Sunday Chill

Lazy morning, maybe a swim in the pool, full English  and cringe at all the pictures from the night before! Then head to Polzeath beach in the afternoon for a walk, paddle in the sea and soak up the fresh air with the sand in our toes and a hair of the dog by the sea! Back to the lodges for PJs, movie and takeaway

Stuff you might want to know

What should I bring to wear?

Friday night think Ibiza beach party / festival vibes. As little or as far as you want to go. Plus swim stuff so you can get in hot tub if you wish!

Saturday daytime, trainers or flats, basically something comfy to walk in and cycle, the rest will be weather dependent. Saturday night is all about 'Black & White' where all the hens are to wear black and Mel is going in white...nice and easy! Dress to impress for a night on the town.

Sunday comfies on! And PJs for movie night.

Who are all the hens?

Mel

Corrina

Justine

Chez

Verity

Amy

Sarah

Jess

Hayley

Angela

Abi

Alison

Lisa

Audra

What are the sleeping arrangements?

There are 14 of us.

Lodge 1: 2 double rooms and 1 twin. Have put bride and bridesmaids in this lodge but some of us have to cosy up! Suggest Mel and Corrina / Verity and Amy / Justine and Chez

Lodge 2 & 3: each lodge has 1 double and 1 twin. Each lodge to sleep 3 so one person in the double and 2 in the twin.

Lisa and Audra have a separate lodge they are sharing.

What can I bring?

It would be great if everyone could bring 1) a bottle of prosecco 2) Whatever else you want to drink on the Friday night, whilst getting ready on Saturday and Sunday 3) I thought it would be nice to make up a hamper for Mel where we all buy a gift and wrap it up and she has to guess which gift is from who...so something she opens and will know it's from you!

The money bit!

Accommodation:  £116 payable by end of March (will send my bank details nearer the time as it's all booked under my name on booking.com)

Butler in the buff: £19 each payable end of April

Taxi's to and from Newquay on Saturday: I've had a look and it's about £30 each way, so split by 4 in a cab I'd say allow £15-£20 for cabs (might be more on way home if past midnight...which it will be)

Sailors club: £18 each (see more info on Saturday page)

Dinner on Saturday: https://cove24.uk/all-day-tapas-menu/

Camel trail bike hire: £19 https://www.bridgebikehire.co.uk/camel-trail-bike-hire/

Contribution to food: This won't be much, maybe £10 a head, will confirm nearer the time. This will cover getting stuff for breakfasts Sat and Sun, snacks, stuff for picnic on beach etc

Takeaway on Sunday night: Probably about £10/£15 a head?

Then obviously the rest is dependent on what and how much you drink across the weekend and anything else you may want to do. For example on the Sunday at Polzeath beach, some might decide to paddle board, or have a surf lesson, or kayaking etc but not making plans or booking for that...we'll just go with the flow!
